The Mayor, along with Council and City Staff, have elected to waive 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦-𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬 through September 1, 2024. Residents must provide proof that the repairs being done are storm-related. The waived permit fee 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝. If the work being done requires an inspection, the inspection will still need to be completed.
We understand most of the repairs being done are to damaged roofs and fences. Keep in mind, fence repairs only need a permit if more than 50% of your fence is being replaced or repaired.
