Today, we removed the final piece of the clarifier traveling bridge as part of the ongoing Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project. To make this possible, the entire wastewater basin had to be emptied—a major step in preparing for the next phase!
Once the work is complete, the basin will consist of just concrete walls and floors, ready for the installation of brand-new equipment to improve functionality and efficiency.
Funding for this project is coming from City Funds and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds received by the City. The total cost is approximately $3,950,000.
