Fort Bend County has confirmed its first case of West Nile virus this year. A sample collected in the 77498 zip code has tested positive. This area is not too far from Meadows Place.

1. Wear insect repellent when outdoors.
2. Avoid going outside at dawn and dusk, when mosquitos are most active.
3. Remove standing water around your home to prevent mosquito breeding.
Additionally, the City is continuing to spray for mosquitos twice a week, as weather permits.
