Last week, our Parks and Recreation staff attended the 2024 Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) annual Institute and Expo in Galveston.
This event is the premier education and networking event in Texas for the Parks and Recreation Community. Along with access to more than 125 vendors, it provided educational sessions that exposed our staff to new and unique ways to better serve the community.
One highlight of the week was the maintenance rodeo, an event that allowed crews to show off their skills with maintenance equipment and tools. While our team opted to observe rather than participate this year, it was fun to see others expertise in action.
They all had a great time and are looking forward to implementing some of the insights they gained into their upcoming projects and initiatives.
