Attending training at the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC)) sales tax training session were Meadows Place EDC President Bob Graf; EDC Director Clyde Little; Courtney Rutherford – Meadows Place City Secretary; EDC Director Matthew Walker and Mayor Charles Jessup. This was an intense training focused on skills necessary to become an effective Economic Development Corporation. This one helped generate many ideas and changes that will soon be incorporated into Meadows Place Type B EDC.
TEDC Economic Development Sales Tax Workshops are designed specifically for EDC Board Members and local elected officials of Type A and Type B Corporations. The workshops include information about economic and community development in general and changes to the Economic Development Sales Tax Law. Those attending the Workshop received Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act certification as a part of this course. The TEDC hosts 5 to 6 workshops per year in different areas of the state.
