- Overnight, unknown persons broke out the driver’s front window of the resident’s work van parked on the street, entered and removed several tools (unknown serial numbers).
- The resident’s ring camera did not capture anything, but the camera across the street did capture a vehicle with no LP or identifying information.

- Officer found a suspicious unattended vehicle in the alley.
- Upon investigation, he heard a person running inside the building.
- A perimeter was set up with the assistance of Stafford PD, but no subjects were located.
- It was found that copper wiring was being stolen from a breaker box inside the building, and the suspect left tools.
- No video surveillance was found, but some possible forensic evidence was acquired.

- The owner found that a second instance of person(s) unknown stealing copper wire occurred.
- The suspect(s) cut power to the building, and therefore disabled the alarm.

- While on patrol Officer found a window broken out on a work van parked on the street at a residence.

- Officers were dispatched to a Theft in progress.
- Upon arrival, a female suspect was inside the store with concealed items, which she then put back.
- The subject was interviewed and found to have a warrant out of West University Place.
- Outside the store, while detaining the subject, two additional pieces of cosmetics from the store were found.
- The subject was issued a citation for Theft, and then transported to meet West University PD to transfer her to their custody.
10/07/2024 Aldi’s
- A customer who had shopped at Aldi’s arrived home in Houston, and found her purse was missing.
- It had been in her shopping cart, and she doesn’t know if it was taken from there, or from her car when she put the shopping cart away.
- When she reported this to her credit card company, she found that approximately $7,000 had already been charged on it.

- Officer stopped a vehicle for reckless driving.
- The driver was uncooperative and showed signs of intoxication.
- After investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
- There was no intoxilyzer operator available, so no breath sample was given.
10/08/24 W. Airport Blvd. *Driving While Intoxicated w/Child Passenger
- Officer responded to a disturbance, and found one of the parties had been driving and showed signs of intoxication. A child under 15 years of age had been in the vehicle.
- After a DWI investigation was completed, the subject was arrested and transported to Fort Bend Co. Jail.

10/13/2024 SW Freeway Feeder *Driving While Intoxicated/Warrant Other Jurisdiction/Possession of Controlled Substance
- Officer found a vehicle stopped in a moving lane, with the driver asleep at the wheel.
- After investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and had a warrant out of Harris Co. for DWI (which enhanced our DWI charge).
- The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
- At the Jail, a detailed search found a small bag of white powder, which later tested positive for Cocaine. The charge of PCS was added.

Notable Information:
On 09/23/2024 Sgt. Kenig attended the sentencing hearing for MPPD Case#2202061502 – Sexual Assault of a Child. This case was from February 2022.
- Former MPPD Det. Bruce Campbell testified at this hearing.
- The Suspect plead guilty to Sexual Assault of a Child (two counts) and Sexual Abuse of a Child Continuous.
- The Suspect was sentenced to life for Sexual Abuse of a Child – Continuous, and 40 years for both Sexual Assaults of a Child.
The ADA for Fort Bend County was pleased and thankful for MPPD showing support for the victim and family.
