08/27/25 Dorrance Ln.

  • Overnight, at a gathering at an Airbnb, a male and female who were dating got into an argument, resulting in the male grabbing her neck and hitting her.
  • Two unknown male family members then assaulted the suspect for this, causing a knee injury.
  • Upon officers’ arrival the suspect and victim were uncooperative. No other persons at the gathering said they saw anything.
  • The suspect was transported to St. Luke’s by FBEMS.
  • Upon CID follow-up, the victim declined prosecution.
  • Investigation status: Closed – Exception

08/24/25 Scottsdale Dr.

  • Officers had responded to a Burglary and had a suspect handcuffed and detained in the back of an MPPD patrol vehicle.
  • The suspect was irritated and began hitting the door’s window with his head. The window soon shattered, with blood being left in the back seat area.
  • The suspect denied transport by EMS and was taken to a local hospital per an EDO.
  • MPPD has since had the window repaired and the vehicle decontaminated.
  • CID will be filing this charge.
  • Estimated Damage cost: $6853.82 (Replace window, straighten door frame, Broke the plastic prisoner seat, had to be replaced, Decontamination after removing rear seat and partition. Completed by EFS and Aftermath due to bodily fluids)
  • Recovery cost is being submitted with the case
  • Investigation status: Open

09/21/25 Cedar Form Ln.

  • Resident found damage to both doors of their vehicle as it was parked in their driveway.
  • Resident believes it was done by uninvited party guests from the night before and can identify them.
  • Damage Value: $5,000
  • Investigation Status: Open

09/11/25 S. Kirkwood Rd.

  • Resident reported they found several transactions in their bank account through Zelle which they did not authorize.
  • The resident contacted their bank, who requested a police report be made.
  • Fraud Amount: $340
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

09/17/25 Dorrance Ln.

  • Resident discovered there was an insurance policy through Geico with their name and was being paid for by funds from their bank account.
  • The resident did not authorize this and does not know the person named on the policy.
  • Their bank and Geico were contacted.
  • Fraud Amount: Unknown at time of report
  • Investigation Status: Open

08/24/25 Murphy Express *Purse and Contents

  • A citizen was riding with a person she recently met.
  • They stopped for gas, and when she went inside to pay, he drove off with her belongings.
  • Suspect was also involved in a recent similar crime in Stafford, so MPPD CID will be communicating with them.
  • Property Value: $6,92.50
  • Investigation Status: Open

09/09/25 Walgreens *Beer (Also listed in Arrests)

  • Officer responded to a theft in progress, and upon arrival observed the suspect’s vehicle leaving the location.
  • A traffic stop was initiated, and the stolen beer was found in the vehicle.
  • Both suspects were arrested for Class B Misdemeanor Theft.
  • One of the suspect’s charges was enhanced to a State Jail Felony due to prior convictions.
  • Both suspects were transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • Property Value: $132

09/15/25 Walgreens *Diapers (Also listed in Arrests)

  • A subject left the store with 3 packages of diapers without paying.
  • Officer responded to the theft-in-progress call and found the subject in the parking lot with the merchandise.
  • The subject was detained while an investigation confirmed the theft.
  • The suspect was arrested for theft, and a confirmed warrant for Parole Violation out of Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

09/15/25 Walgreens *Toys

  • While on the scene of a different theft call officers were told by employees that another theft occurred moments before.
  • A male left the store with an unknown number of toys in a shopping cart, loaded them in the back of a vehicle and left the location.
  • Employees provided a description of the vehicle, with no LP., and said they would check for video later.
  • Property Value: Unknown at time of report
  • Investigation Status: Open
