Assault (4) (Up 1 from previous month)

04/29/24 Brighton Ln.

  • An argument between a father and his adult son escalated to the son verbally threatening his father.
  • The son was issued a Citation for Assault by Threat.

04/29/24 (Offense occurred a week earlier) Pender Ln. (Offense occurred at Denny’s)

  • Officers were called to a residence where a citizen said that when she was at Denny’s a week ago, she was in an argument with the manager. During this, the manager slapped her in the face.
  • The Officer went to Denny’s and interviewed the manager, who said the citizen struck her in the shoulder several times.
  • Officer did not have sufficient cause to file any charges on either subject.

05/02/24  Meadowtrail Ln.

  • A verbal argument between spouses escalated to each slapping the other.
  • Both parties were issued Citations for Assault – Class C
  • The husband then left the home for the night. 

05/18/24 (Also listed in Arrests) Scottsdale Dr.

  • Officers were called to a family disturbance in progress.
  • Investigation showed an argument among several family members escalated to one party (suspect) hitting another in the face causing minor injuries.
  • The suspect was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle (3) (Down 1 from previous month) (2 commercial – 1 residential)

04/27/24 Walgreens

  • A citizen parked at Walgreens and went inside to shop.
  • During this, an unknown male damaged the driver’s door handle, made entry and removed several items.
  • There were two witnesses to this incident, but no forensic or video evidence.
  • Value of Property: $960.99
  • Investigation Status: Open

05/01/24 Brighton Ln.

  • Resident’s vehicle parked in front of their residence was found to have the door open, and the inside had appeared to be gone through.
  • Resident stated there was nothing missing, and the car is kept unlocked.
  • A camera at the home across the street was noticed, but the homeowner was unavailable at that time.
  • Investigation Status: Open

05/17/24 Aldi

  • A citizen went in the store to shop, and when they returned to their car, they found their purse was missing. The purse contained cash and credit cards.
  • There was no sign of forced entry, and no video surveillance available.
  • Investigation Status: Open

04/30/24  Scottsdale Dr.

  • Resident came home in the evening and found unknown person(s) entered the home by removing the sliding glass patio door. The power to the alarm also had been disabled at the outside fuse box.
  • The master bedroom was ransacked, with various jewelry and money missing.
  • A few fingerprints were lifted, but eliminations have not been completed yet.
  • Video from neighbor across the street was obtained, with unknown evidentiary value at this time.

05/18/24 Northern Tool *Fence (Also listed in Theft)

  • Video surveillance captured a truck using a chain to pull open the outside fence area, and then connect to a trailer and remove it from the premises.
  • The truck’s license plate was retrieved from the video.
  • Property Value: Trailer – $3,200           Fencing – $15,000
  • Investigation Status: Open

04/29/24 Murphy Express *Cigarettes

  • A female paid with a $100 bill for the purchase of a carton of cigarettes, and then left with the merchandise.
  • It was later found the bill was counterfeit.
  • The suspect’s vehicle info and LP were retrieved.
  • Value of property: $90.39
  • Investigation Status: Open

04/30/24 Northern Tool *Tools

  • A male entered the store, obtained 2 pieces of equipment, and left the store without paying. Surveillance video captured the suspect and vehicle description, but no LP or other identifying information. A check of the Flock system resulted in no information.
  • Property Value: $318.97
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

04/30/24 Norther Tool *Various Tools

  • A male entered the store, filled a cart with merchandise, and then left the store without paying.
  • Surveillance video captured the suspect and vehicle description, but no LP or other identifying information.
  • A check of the Flock system resulted in no information.
  • Property Value: $1061.85
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

05/10/24 Walgreen’s *Beer

  • A female attempted to pay for beer with a card, but it was declined, and she then left the store with the beer without paying.
  • A vehicle description was received by witnesses.
  • There was no surveillance video available.
  • Property Value: $80
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

05/14/24 Helfman Ford *Temporary LP

  • In January of 2024, an employee of Helfman Ford found that one of their temporary license plates was missing, so it was cancelled.
  • Since then, the employee has found that the plate is being used on various toll roads, and Helfman is receiving fines.
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation.
  • A computer check showed the driver’s license was suspended.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

04/23/24 W. Airport Blvd. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation.
  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Burbank, CA for Grand Larceny.
  • The driver was issued Citations, arrested, and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

04/28/24 W. Airport Blvd. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation.
  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Saginaw County, TX for Fail to Pay Child Support.
  • The driver was issued Citations, arrested, and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

05/01/24 W.  Airport Blvd. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation.
  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Brazoria County for DWI.
  • The driver was issued Citations, arrested, and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

05/12/24 W. Airport Blvd. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation.
  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Fort Bend County for Credit Card Abuse
  • The driver was issued Warnings, arrested, and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

05/15/24 W. Airport Blvd. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation.
  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Harris County for  Failure to Stop and Give Information.
  • The driver was issued a Citation, arrested, and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

05/16/24 Murphy Express *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer responded to a domestic dispute.
  • Neither party were charged with anything from this, but the female party was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Harris County for Theft.
  • The female was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

050/18/24 Scottsdale Dr. *Assault (Also listed in Assaults)

  • Officers were called to a family disturbance in progress.
  • Investigation showed an argument among several family members escalated to one party (suspect) hitting another in the face causing minor injuries.
  • The suspect was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
