Flock Cameras are part of a cloud based public safety operating system that are Motion Activated and provide 24/7 Coverage. This lets our police search and identify vehicles by make, model, color, license plate and more.
Through grants and city funding, the City is installing these new high tech license plate readers to form a barrier ring around the city. They take still photos of license plates, check to see if the plate matches the car, if the car is stolen, etc. The results so far prove their worth in capturing criminals and getting them out of our city.
