June 30th was a big day in Meadows Place as Fort Bend County Judge, Bob Hebert, Director of Fort Bend Health and Human Services, Dr. M. desVignes-Kendrick, and Director of Fort Bend Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Graig Temple joined Mayor Charles Jessup, Mayor Pro-Temp Terry Henley, Aldermen Rick Staigle and John Isbell at the official installation ceremonies of their new Medical Intensive Care Unit.  Meadows Place was picked as Fort Bend County sought to best manage EMS coverage  for the county.

The city’s willingness to work with the county by providing accommodations for staff and crew made a quick transition possible.  Joining in the excitement were Clyde Little and Kurt Kopczynski, members  of the Meadows Place Economic Development Corporation, who supported the project.  An excited Mayor Jessup exclaimed “This is fantastic news. Not many 1 sq. mile cities have their own Police Department, Fire Station and house an EMS crew too.”   This is just one more reason why Meadows Place is …Your Place for Life! ems
