Hurricane Beryl left its mark on many cities, including Meadows Place. After the storm cleared, we tallied over $80,000 worth of damage to city property. Thanks to careful planning and a dedicated staff, we were prepared.

Our city maintains insurance and detailed records to help handle these kinds of challenges. When it came time to file a claim, our team jumped into action, working with both our insurance provider and FEMA.

It all ended up breaking down like this:
◾ Total Damage Cost: $80,500
◾ Insurance Deductible: $15,123
◾ FEMA Reimbursement Toward Deductible: $11,342.25
👉 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭-𝐎𝐟-𝐏𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭: $𝟑,𝟕𝟖𝟎

None of this would have been possible had we not been prepared.

Enormous thanks go out to our Finance Director, Anna-Maria Weston, and Assistant Chief of Police, Jack Ashton. They spent countless hours sending emails, attending meetings, and making calls with insurance and FEMA.

Thanks to their hard work, our city was able to keep costs low for our community.
