We had a fabulous fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July – America’s Independence Day. Meadows Place usually celebrates by holding the best 4th of July parade in the County but due to COVID19 the parade was cancelled. Thanks to funding by our EDC and a lot of hard work by Police Chief Stewart, Fire Marshall Jon Lopez and Parks Director Colene Cabezas, we had a wonderful fireworks show. This was a professional show and it showed. Lots of people came out to watch. Some stayed in their cars but most practiced social distancing, stayed with their family unit, sat on blankets and enjoyed the show. The finale was exciting with red white and blue rockets and a big, big boom. It was a wonderful event and all the friendly families sharing the show brought a lot of joy – safely – to our wonderful city. Happy Independence Day everyone.
