Engineering to begin on South Kirkwood project

Surveyors will soon be seen working along South Kirkwood in City of Meadows Place. This signals the commencement of the engineering of the South Kirkwood Renovation and Revitalization Project. HDR Engineering has notified the city that they will have survey crews working along South Kirkwood on the north side of West Airport to the edge of the city. They will also be working at the intersections of Scottsdale, Dorrance, Brighton and Brook Meadows. City Council unanimously approved the contract with HDR Engineering for the engineering portion of the project which will take an estimated nine-months to complete. The Meadows Place Economic Development Corporation has approved funding for the engineering with most of the construction costs being part of the Fort Bend County Mobility Bond Project.   Call the Mayor at City Hall if you have any questions. 281-983-2950.
