All substantial work is complete on the Dorrance Lane Improvement Project – PHASE 2!
We broke ground in October 2024, picking up where Phase 1 left off—on Dorrance Ln., east of Oxford Glen Ln. By early November, demolition was underway and traffic detours were in place.
This phase was designed by HDR Engineering and contracted with Tandem Services. Just like Phase 1, improvements included:
▪️A new roadway
▪️Improved drainage
▪️New water lines
▪️Updated crosswalks
▪️5-foot-wide sidewalks
The Dorrance Lane Improvement Project is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Plan, which will continue with the replacement of other aging roadways and infrastructure throughout Meadows Place.

This project cost approximately $2,300,000, funded by City utility funds and the Fort Bend County Mobility Bond. 🏗️
