If you lived in Meadows Place (or any part of Texas) in February of 2021, you remember the historic Valentine’s Day freeze. According to weather.gov, “There was a total of 8 days, 23 hours, and 23 minutes of winter highlights between the first Winter Weather Advisory issued on Thursday, February 11th at 9:37am to when the last Hard Freeze Warning expired at 9am on Saturday, February 20th.” This past winter, we also had dealt with a freeze. This freeze may have impacted some of your landscaping.

We originally shared the video below with residents in April of 2021 after dealing with the Valentine’s Day freeze. The tips in this video still hold true today. Make sure you follow the steps to determine if your plants need removed. Please remember, we have an ordinance in place to deal with dead landscaping. https://cityofmeadowsplace.org/departments/code-enforcement/
Dead Landscaping / Tree(s) (Ordinance 91.035, “All dead landscaping, grass, bush(es), and/or tree(s) or all dead portions of landscaping, grass, bush(es), and/or tree(s) must be removed from the property.”
