As mentioned in the Newsletter, City Council unanimously passed Ordinance No. 2019-22 which established Meadows Place Municipal Court as a Court of Record.  There are additional retention requirements  with a Court of Record but this is a major step granting Meadows Place Municipal Court more authority, especially when it comes to issuing warrants to deal with non-compliant houses and non- cooperative neighbors.

Moving to a Court of Record will allow us to expedite many of these matters internally thus letting Meadows Place respond more quickly and offer a broader, much  improved level of service to our residents. Our ‘Court of Record’ goes into effect on or before Nov. 1, 2019 depending on court dates.  Thank You to Courtney Rutherford, Elaine Brown, Randle Law Firm, Judge Bret Kisluk and everyone else who worked so diligently to make this happen.
