Thank you to those who attended the Council Meeting last night.
More discussion was had and decisions made regarding one of the most significant projects ever for Meadows Place, the Wastewater Clarifier Rehabilitation Project. City Council voted unanimously to approve a change order with LEM Construction Co., Inc. reducing the contract amount of the Wastewater Clarifier Rehabilitation Project to $3,950,000. The previous amount was $4,275,000. Earlier this week, the Mayor signed the contract taking the next step in moving the project forward (see included picture). Funding for this project is coming from City Funds and Fort Bend County ARPA Funds.
Due to early voting, the meeting took place at the Emergency Operations Center and wasn’t streamed. However, you can always keep up with what projects are happening in the City by visiting the City Projects Page on the website: https://cityofmeadowsplace.org/government/public-information/city-projects-status/
We always encourage residents to attend or watch these meetings online. It is important to stay engaged with your community and its leaders.
The next Regular Council Meeting will be November 28th at 6:30 PM.
