Council voted, and with a unanimous decision, the City of Meadows Place will be increasing the utility rates for residents effective August 1, 2024. This is year three of a five-year plan started in 2022. These funds will be used to maintain and improve the City’s aging water and sewer infrastructure. There will also be a $1 increase in garbage collection fees due to an increase in fees charged to the City. (See Fee Chart Below)
 
 
Per the recommendation of HDR Engineering, Inc., Council voted to enter into an agreement with AR Turnkee Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $608,100 for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Lift Station Rehabilitation Project.
