Rain delays have plagued the West Airport reconstruction project from the beginning, but progress is finally being made. In recent meetings with the contractor, the city and TxDot have reemphasized the need to work weekend and increase manpower in an attempt to speed the project along. Latest estimates have the switch over to the north side of the street by Feb.3, 2015. The project is some eight to twelve weeks behind and the completion date has slipped to Sept. or Oct. 2015.
