Last night, Council met with residents and developers at a town hall meeting held at City Hall. In May, Council invited residents to this meeting to give input regarding the possibility of apartments being placed on the 9 acres of land next to Starbuck and Aldi (see image below). As expected, our residents filled the room to learn more and and voice their opinion.

After hearing the thoughts of our residents and our Council, the developers have decided they will not be pursuing an apartment complex project on the 9 acres.

If you felt inspired after last night’s meeting and would like to get involved by volunteering with an organization within the City, info can be found here:

Meadows Place also has several Boards of Commissions that rely on residents. If you would like to know more about the Economic Development Corporation, Planning and Zoning, or Board of Adjustments, let us know and we will get you in contact with the proper people.

We also had a special guest at our town hall meeting last night. If you would like to learn more about the history of Meadows Place from the person that helped create on our wonderful City, CLICK HERE to hear him speak at last night’s town hall.
