- A resident came into the MPPD building reporting that overnight unknown persons entered his truck that was parked in the street in front of his home and removed items.
- There was no forced entry, and the truck was found unlocked this morning. The resident believes he did lock it last night.
- Items taken were his wallet and a delivery box containing two new cell phones and a new iWatch.
- There were no witnesses, forensic evidence, or surveillance video found.

05/31/26 Murphy Express
- While a customer was paying inside the store, a vehicle parked next to her vehicle and a person exited and entered the unlocked door of the customer’s vehicle, removed her purse and then fled the scene. The purse contained credit cards, her Texas Drivers License, and cash.
- A witness to the offense retrieved the suspect vehicle’s description and License Plate.
- Store surveillance video was not available.

- Surveillance video captured the crime but was not of sufficient quality to identify the suspect(s) or their vehicle.

- Upon arrival, two suspects were found nearby and detained.

- Officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation.
- Due to the odor of marijuana in the vehicle, a PC search was conducted and a pistol was found, along with a small amount of marijuana and cannabis vapes.
- The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license.
- The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
- The DWI & UCW charge was listed as being in a Gun Free Zone due to proximity of Meadows Elementary when the officer first saw the vehicle.
- There were two juveniles in the vehicle. Their mother was called, who later arrived and took custody of them.

06/18/26 Kirkwood Rd. & W. Airport Blvd.*Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon
- Officer responded to the report of a vehicle sitting still at the intersection with the driver possibly asleep.
- Officer found the vehicle and saw the driver asleep at the wheel.
- Upon awakening him and speaking to him, Officer noticed signs of intoxication.
- SFSTs were conducted, which yielded enough clues to continue the investigation.
- A pistol was found on the driver’s floorboard and was confiscated.
- The driver was transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail, where breath samples were taken with the results showing a BAC above the legal limit.
- The driver was admitted to the jail.
