During this National Public Work Appreciation Week, our Public Works team had the chance to attend the American Public Works Association Southwest Branch Annual Picnic.
Our Public Works Director, Byron Hughley, had this to say about it:
“After surviving the heavy wind and rain Tuesday night, we were able to still host the Annual Public Works Picnic. At this event, Directors and Assistant Directors served the staff from cities ranging from Tomball to Galveston and as wide from Katy to Mont Belvieu. Yesterday was surreal for me, as it was the first time I have been one of the servers after 17 years in the water and wastewater industry and 2 yrs being a sponsor. Congratulations (high fives, hugs and handshakes) were poured into me as it has been made known that I am the Public Works Director for Meadows Place, TX. Jack won a new fishing pole, so be prepared to see him at the lake!“

Sounds like they had a great time!
