Every now and then, a day at work reminds you why you love what you do. Today was one of those days.
Meadows Place elected officials, judge, parks and recreation staff, public works staff, administrative staff, police officers, and firefighters had the opportunity to host Meadows Elementary 5th graders and teachers for a field trip around City Hall.
Students learned what it takes to keep a city running and got an up-close look at the careers, equipment, and people that help make Meadows Place one square mile of wonderful.
More than 70 students, teachers, and staff took part in the day, which wrapped up with a pizza picnic and group photo before students headed back to school.
Special thanks to everyone who helped make today possible!
