Each year criminals find new ways to trick their victims. This year is no different and artificial intelligence (AI) is helping.
In the last three months, more than 18,000 new holiday-themed domains have been registered. A large portion are intended to mimic major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target websites down to the pixel.
AI Tools are being used to help build these fake storefronts faster, down to fake reviews and working shopping carts that steal credit card data.
Before you click, take a 10-second pause and read the web address of the site you are on. If it ends in .biz or .info instead of .com, or has extra hyphens, close it.
