Have you ever driven around Meadows Place and wondered how our streets got their names?

We did and we thought we’d find out about a few. We only had the chance to ask about a handful and for those answers, we reached out to Billy Burge, the original developer of Meadows Place.
Billy was excited to share some of the history behind a few of our street names.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve shared the stories behind the street names for Dorrance Ln. and Pamela Sue Ct. This week we turn back the pages of history to learn about Hoggard Dr.

Hoggard Dr. is one of those names that just sounds funny, no matter what it means. We would bet that no one has come across a street with a similar name anywhere else. Like Pamela Sue Ct., this one holds personal meaning to Billy, though with a different kind of memory. Hoggard was the last name of Billy’s first wife. In Billy’s words, “I promise no feelings will be hurt if that one ever gets replaced.”

If you are familiar with some of the cities that Meadows Place shares a border with, you may be able to guess the street we will be talking about next week. Be sure not to miss it!
