Assault (2) (Up 1 from previous month)

07/22/25 The Hamptons 

  • Two adult sisters were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into one punching the other, resulting in a scratch.
  • Prosecution was declined. Family Violence forms were completed.
  • Both parties left location separately.
  • Investigation Status: Closed – Exception

07/25/25 Scottsdale Dr. *Assault and Possession of Criminal Instrument (also listed in Arrests)

  • The resident and her live-in home repair contractor had a verbal argument over the work being done, which escalated to the contractor assaulting the resident causing minor injury.
  • The incident was captured on video, which resulted in the contractor being arrested.
  • While searching the suspect, officers found what appeared to be a mailbox key.
  • The suspect was transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail for the assault charge.
  • After CID followed up with the US Postal Inspector and the Fort Bend DA, the charge of Possession of Criminal Instrument charge was added for the mailbox key.
  • Investigation Status: Open

 08/10/25 Walgreens *Also listed in FLOCK

  • A male went to the front counter to pay for merchandise, and when the clerk opened the cash drawer, the male pushed the clerk backwards and reached into the drawer and removed cash. Clerk felt pain only.
  • The clerk quickly took photos of the suspect with her cell phone during this and as the suspect left through the front door.
  • Another male in the store then ran out of the doors and got in a vehicle and drove away. He is believed to be with the suspect.  A FLOCK search identified the probable vehicle.
  • The crime was captured on surveillance video, and there was no forensic evidence.
  • Cash Value: $328.32

08/01/25 Northern Tool *Vehicle Winch

  • Male walked out of the store with a vehicle winch, without paying.
  • An employee was able to take photos of the suspect’s vehicle and LP.
  • Property Value: $386

08/04/25 Walgreens *Cleaning Products/Cosmetics x2 (Also in Arrests)

  • Officer was dispatched to a shoplifting in progress, and upon arrival found the 2 female suspects in the parking lot.
  • The suspects agreed to return to the store, and upon doing so they emptied their purses which produced numerous pieces of unpaid cosmetics and cleaning products.
  • The crime was captured on surveillance video.
  • The 2 suspects were arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • Investigation Status: Closed

08/11/25 Northern Tool *Power Tools

  • A male left the store with 2 power tools and generator without paying.
  • The male entered a vehicle but was unsuccessful in loading the generator, left it in the parking lot and then drove away.
  • Employees took photos of the suspect’s vehicle and LP.
  • Surveillance video captured the crime. There was no forensic evidence.
  • Stolen Property Value: $799.98
  • Recovered Property Value: $1,999.98
  • Investigation Status: Open

08/12/25 Quiet Cove Dr. *Texas License Plate

  • The resident reported his front LP was missing from his vehicle and believes it may have been taken while the vehicle was parked in his driveway.
  • The resident will be re-tracing his recent travel to look for it.
  • The LP was entered into TLETS.
  • Property Value: $10
  • Investigation Status: Open

  • Patrol responded to a theft (shoplifting) in progress and made 2 arrests.
  • One of the suspects was arrested by this department in March of this year for warrants, after a stop due to a FLOCK Hit – Other Agency Bolo on a vehicle involved in Thefts in Friendswood.

7/30/25 S. Kirkwood Rd. *Driving While Intoxicated & Possession of Marijuana

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way and onto grassy areas.
  • The vehicle had flat tires, front end damage, and smoke from the engine compartment. Stafford FD responded to handle this.
  • Upon contacting the driver, he displayed signs of intoxication. SFST’s were administered, resulting in several clues.
  • A search of the vehicle yielded bags of marijuana.
  • The driver then complained of leg pain, so Fort Bend EMS responded, to which the driver refused transport.
  • No intoxilyzer operator was available, so the driver was transported to Oak Bend where he consented for blood draw.
  • The driver was then transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

08/04/25 Walgreens *Theft x2 (Also in Thefts)

08/13/25 Amblewood Dr. *Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Possession of Marijuana

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation.
  • A smell of marijuana was detected, so a Probable Cause Search was conducted.
  • A bag of marijuana and a handgun were found.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail
