As a pet owner, you are responsible for keeping your dog leashed at all times and cleaning up after them, no exceptions.
In the October 2024 newsletter, Mayor St. Germain outlined key updates to our Animal Control Ordinance, including enforcement details and a plan to partner with Fort Bend County Animal Control for local clinics. That clinic has since taken place, and we appreciate everyone who participated in helping promote responsible pet ownership.
𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫: If you see a dog off its leash, you can report it to Meadows Place PD or Code Enforcement.
Also, Meadows Place does not have its own animal control services. Fort Bend County handles these calls across the region, and while they do their best, delays in response time can occur due to high call volumes.
If you witness a stray dog or believe the ordinance is being violated, please use the proper reporting channels.
These rules aren’t just something Mayor and Council talk about at meetings, they’re about keeping our neighbors, children, and pets safe.
Please, do your part: leash your pets, clean up after them, and report issues responsibly.
