03/19/25 Valencia St.

  • During a family argument, an adult female slapped her father.
  • The father did not want to press charges.
  • The daughter then left the location.
  • Investigation Status: Closed

02/27/25 Denny’s

  • While a citizen was in the restaurant, a male unknown broke out the driver door window of his vehicle, entered it, but took nothing.
  • It is possible he was followed from a Chase Bank in Houston where he just withdrew cash.
  • Surveillance Video captured the crime but was not of quality for identification.
  • A FLOCK search revealed a possible suspect vehicle.
  • Damage Estimate: $500
  • Investigation Status: Open

02/26/25 Valencia St.

  • A pick-up truck backed over their mailbox while turning around.
  • Surveillance Video captured the incident, but it is not of quality to identify the LP.
  • Damage Estimate: $500
  • Investigation Status: Open 

02/28/25 Sterling McCall

  • Overnight, a vehicle drove through one of the gates, damaging it.
  • Surveillance video captured the incident and included the vehicle’s LP.
  • Damage Estimate: $2,500
  • Investigation Status: Open

03/08/25 The Hamptons

  • A resident found a broken window on their vehicle in the parking lot.
  • This may have occurred due to lawn maintenance in the area.
  • There was no video, witness, or forensic evidence found.
  • Damage Estimate: $500
  • Investigation Status: Open

  • A resident arrived at the PD stating there were fraudulent charges on her Texas Lone Star Card.
  • Fraud Amount: $996.04
  • Investigation Status: Open

03/05/25 Enterprise Rent-A-Car at Sterling McCall *Theft of Service

  • The Branch Manager came into MPPD and reported a vehicle that had not been returned as stolen.
  • An officer was able to contact the renter in New Mexico, who then returned the vehicle to an Enterprise there.
  • The Branch Manager did not want to pursue charges.
  • Investigation Status: Closed – Exception

03/10/25 Murphy Express *Beer

  • A male and female left the store with 12-packs of beer without paying.
  • There was no video, forensic evidence or vehicle LP.
  • Property Value: $104.45
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

03/18/25 Meadows Place Pre-School at Sugar Grove Church *Cell Phone

  • A citizen at the basketball courts had placed his cell phone in the grass, but it was not there when he returned.
  • The citizen “pinged” his phone, and it showed to be an address on Dorrance.
  • MPPD contacted that resident, who stated they had no knowledge of the phone.
  • Property Value: $410
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

02/26/25 W. Airport Blvd. *Driving While Intoxicated   

  • Officer found an occupied vehicle blocking a driveway and not moving.
  • The driver showed signs of intoxication, and clues were found during Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.
  • Breathalyzer results were 0.171 and 0.170.
  • The driver was booked into the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

02/27/2025 S. Kirkwood Rd. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for an license plate violation.
  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Harris Co. for Evading.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

03/03/25 W. Airport Blvd. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation.
  • The driver had a confirmed warrant out of Harris Co. for Fraud/Parole Violation.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

03/12/25 Bloomington Ln. *Evading / Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon

  • Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for Failure to Yield to a Stafford FD engine (not in route to call).
  • The vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit ensued through the residential area, which ended with the vehicle coming to a stop in a yard at the construction site on Dorrance.
  • The driver was arrested without incident.
  • A pistol and an open container of alcohol were found in the vehicle.
  • The driver, who was not intoxicated, was transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

03/14/25 W. Airport Blvd. *Possession of Controlled Substance / Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding.
  • The passenger compartment smelled of Marijuana, so a PC Search was conducted.
  • Xanax, Cocaine and Marijuana were found and field tested positive.
  • A pistol was also found.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

03/20/25 Dairy Ashford Rd. *Possession Marijuana & Fail ID-Fugitive & Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a turning violation.
  • Marijuana smell was detected, and a PC search yielded that substance being found.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • At the jail it was discovered that the driver provided a false name, and that she had felony warrants out of Harris and Galveston Counties, and a misdemeanor warrant out of Fort Bend Co., and that she had marijuana concealed on her person.
  • It was also discovered that the vehicle was of interest in thefts in Manvel and Friendswood. Both agencies were notified.
