🎉Chief Gary Stewart was celebrated last night at our Council Meeting. This January marks 30 years of dedicated service to the City of Meadows Place.🎉
Check out the timeline of his career below as well as some fun facts to help illustrate just how long ago he joined our community.

His career with Meadows Place started in 1994 as a Patrol Officer. Our city was still named Meadows, TX at the time, we wouldn’t become the City of Meadows Place for three more years.

In 1997, Officer Stewart is promoted to Lieutenant. This same year, Netflix is created, DVD delivery only.

In 2000, he was again promoted, this time to Captain. This was also Troy Aikman’s last season as a professional football player. The Houston Texans had only been a team for one year, they were established in 1999.

Captain Stewart had another milestone in 2006 when he earned his Master Peace Officer Certification. The Apple IPhone wouldn’t be released for another year, June 29, 2007.

Finally, in 2012 Captain Stewart became Chief Stewart, a position he still holds. It would still be another year before the idea of a video doorbell is introduced to the world, then know at Doorbot. Doorbot would later be rebranded as Ring.

Thank you Chief Stewart for your relentless commitment to the City of Meadows Place and its residents. Your 3 decades of service and leadership have helped make our one square mile of wonderful the city it is today.
