First Visitor to Our Bird Feeder at the Discovery and Nature Center

It took some time, but our bird feeder at the Discovery and Nature Center finally had a visitor this weekend – a House Finch. Did you know the house finch can live 9 to 10 years and is has a great memory? This great memory helps them remember where good sources of food are so hopefully our feathered friend spreads the word about our feeder.
