Commissioner Andy Meyers stopped by Meadows Place to visit our wastewater treatment plant. Our wastewater treatment plant is more than 40 years old and in need of some critical repairs. Mayor Jessup and members of Council reached out to our County Commissioners for help. Commissioner Meyers, along with his fellow Fort Bend County Commissioners, secured $1.5 million of the County’s America Rescue Plan Act money to Meadows Place that will go directly towards these repairs. As a small city with a limited means to generate revenue, this money will help the City cover some of the cost of the repairs and allow the City to begin the wastewater treatment plant project. Thank you to Commissioner Meyers and the Fort Bend County Commissioners for seeing our need and addressing it.
