Fort Bend County Judge KP George visited  with Meadows Place Mayor Charles Jessup (right) at the Fort Bend Regional Infrastructure Conference in Richmond on Thursday, June 27.th. This Conference was heavily attended with Meadows Place well represented by Mayor, Council Member Rick Staigle, EDC Director Tia Baker, Public Works Director Erik Tschanz and Public Works Technician Santana Dominguez.     Former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett served as keynote speaker at the Conference. Emmett, who now serves as a senior fellow for Rice’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research and is considered an expert on transportation issues, questioned if Texas’ port system should be combined and managed as one unit and touched on other topics such as the increased need for infrastructure project funding,  I-69, the Port of Freeport railsystem, flood contol  were discussed.
