The fiscal, or financial, year for The City of Meadows Place runs from October 1st to September 30th of the following year.
The City started budget season last night with our first Council Budget Workshop of 2023. In these workshops, Council, along with City Staff and the Mayor, work to meet the needs of the City while balancing the budget. We are a small city tasked with the responsibility of maintaining and improving City services with limited resources to generate revenue. Our officials are faced with important decisions that impact your utility rates and taxes. Residents are encouraged to attend to learn more about the budget process and decisions that are being made. There will be additional budget meetings in the coming months, and we will be sure to let you know when they are so you can put them on your calendar to attend.

For reference, we have included a visual breakdown of how your property taxes were distributed in 2022. This visual hopefully helps residents better understand where your taxes are being allocated.
