  • The keypad to an office was found to be damaged.
  • Investigation showed this occurred approximately previous two weeks ago.
  • Video surveillance will be attempted to be obtained.

  • Resident reported that when he tried to electronically transfer money between their accounts, the money went into an unknown account that was not theirs.
  • The resident reported this to Chase Bank, who advised them to make a police report.

07/26/2023  Walgreens *Merchandise (Detergent)

  • A male entered the store and placed numerous items in a garbage bag he brought, then left the store without paying.
  • There was no video of the incident, and no associated vehicle.
  • Property Value: $286.13
  • Investigation Status: Suspended (Inactive)

07/27/2023 Alston Dr. *License Plate

  • The victim had previously found their front plate was missing from their vehicle, and then went to the County Tax Office to get a new set. They did not report it stolen.
  • The victim was contacted on this date by DPS, who asked them to report their License Plate as stolen now. DPS had a stolen vehicle stopped in Zavala County with their plate.
  • The plate was entered as stolen, but the victim declined prosecution.

07/31/2023 Northern Tool *Generator

  • Over the weekend, persons unknown cut the lock on a fence behind the store and removed a generator.
  • There was no video surveillance of this area.
  • The store did not have the serial number at this time but will provide it when retrieved.

08/05/2023 Murphy’s Express * Beer

  • A male was denied the purchase of alcohol due to improper ID. He appeared to be intoxicated. The male exited, then re-entered, grabbed cases of beer, and left without paying.
  • A description was obtained of the suspect’s vehicle and was possibly identified through Flock.
  • Property Value: $15.41

  • An unknown male entered the store, picked up two cases of beer, and left without paying.
  • Video surveillance captured the male and vehicle with LP.

  • Vehicle was entered into TLETS.
  • No surveillance video was present.

 07/25/2023 West Airport Blvd.

  • Dispatch advised of a FLOCK hit on a stolen vehicle out of Houston PD.
  • Officer found the vehicle, and attempted to stop it, but it evaded.
  • A pursuit ensued and ended in Stafford where the vehicle lost control and crashed.
  • Two subjects ran and a foot pursuit and search occurred, including use of Sugar Land PD K-9 and Drone, but was later called off.

08/03/2023  South Kirkwood Rd. (Listed in “Arrests” below)

  • Officer was notified of a FLOCK hit on a stolen LP.
  • The vehicle was found, and a traffic stop occurred.
  • As the officer approached on foot, the vehicle sped away.
  • A pursuit was conducted into Sugar Land, where the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
  • Units searching the area were assisted by SLPD, and the suspect was taken in to custody without incident.
  • The driver was transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail. The vehicle was towed.

07/28/2023 South Kirkwood Rd.*Possession of a Controlled Substance & Poss. Prohibited Weapon

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
  • Upon interview and a probable cause search, a prohibited shotgun, and a bag of white substance (tested positive for cocaine) was found.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to Fort Bend Co. Jail. The vehicle was towed.

07/29/2023 Shell *Public Intoxication & Sex Offender Registry

  • Officer noticed a suspicious person banging on the glass at the business.
  • Upon investigation, the subject was found to be intoxicated.
  • Further investigation found that the subject was a registered sex offender but had not updated his address as required.
  • The subject was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

07/29/2023 Starbucks *DWI

  • Officer observed an occupied vehicle, with engine running, parked in the lot across several parking spaces.
  • Investigation showed the driver with signs of intoxication.
  • Standardized Field Sobriety Testing was conducted, and the driver failed.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail, where they refused to give specimens.
  • The vehicle was secured at the scene.

07/29/2023 Montecito Lane *Walk in Street / Resisting

  • Officers (One Officer in Training) found a subject walking in the street where a sidewalk was provided.
  • Officers knew this subject had been given verbal warnings on this before and stopped to interview him.
  • The subject was evasive and attempted to walk away. Officers detained him after a brief struggle.
  • The subject was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

08/01/2023 Southwest Freeway *Warrant (other jurisdiction)

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for improper license plate.
  • The driver was found to have a warrant out of Harris Co. for Theft.
  • The warrant was confirmed, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail. The vehicle was released on scene to a family member.

08/03/2023 Pender Lane *DWI

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding.
  • The driver showed signs of intoxication, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing was administered.
  • The driver failed the tests and was arrested and transported to Methodist for blood draw.
  • At Methodist, the driver became combative and had to be restrained for the draw.
  • The driver was then transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • The vehicle was released on-scene to a family friend.

08/03/2023 South Kirkwood Road *Theft / Evading

  • Officer was notified of a FLOCK hit on a stolen license plate.
  • The vehicle was found, and a traffic stop occurred.
  • As the officer approached, the vehicle sped away.

  • MPPD was assisted by SLPD in a search, and the suspect was located.
  • The driver was transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation.
  • Upon interviewing the driver, a probable cause search was conducted.
  • A brown substance was found the resembled Hashish, which tested positive.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • The vehicle was towed.

08/11/2023 West Airport Blvd. *Public Intoxication

  • Officer found a person sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot.
  • Upon interview, signs of intoxication were detected. Standardized Field Sobriety Testing was conducted and failed.
  • Though the vehicle was not running, the person had the keys.
  • The subject was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

8/15/2023 Dog Park *Possession of a Controlled Substance

  • Officer investigated a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot.
  • A female was asleep in the vehicle. A dog was with her.
  • Officer saw a bag of white powdery substance in plain view, and later found more. The substance tested positive for Cocaine.
  • The subject was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • The vehicle and dog were released to a friend.

08/18/2023 West Airport Blvd. *Warrant (other jurisdiction)

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation.
  • The driver was found to have a warrant out of Harris Co. for DWI.
  • The warrant was confirmed, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • The vehicle was released to a friend.

08/18/2023 West Airport Blvd. *Possession of a Controlled Substance

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation.
  • Upon interviewing the driver, the driver admitted to possessing Marijuana.
  • A probable cause search found pills that tested positive for MDMA (Ecstasy).
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • The vehicle was towed.

08/20/2023 West Airport Blvd. *Fraud-Possession of ID Info

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for defective equipment.
  • Upon interviewing the driver, the driver admitted to possessing Marijuana.
  • A probable cause search found numerous Debit Cards issued to other persons.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • The vehicle was towed.

08/2082023 West Airport Blvd. *Registration / Evading

  • Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a registration violation.
  • The vehicle would not stop but was not driving in an erratic manner as if to evade.
  • The vehicle made several turns, and eventually came to a stop.
  • The driver stated they did not know Officer was trying to stop her.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to Fort Bend Co. Jail.
  • The vehicle was towed.
