Assault (3) (Up 3 from previous month) 

08/23/2023  Scottsdale Dr.

  • A couple was walking down the street in an argument about ending their relationship.
  • At one point, one subject grabbed and pulled on the other, causing slight pain.
  • The victim did not want to press charges, and both subjects were released to different vehicles.
  • Investigation Status: Open (Family Violence)

 09/01/2023 Level Run St.

  • Resident came in to MPPD Lobby
  • Resident reported her son, and another school mate were in an altercation after they got off the bus and were walking home.
  • The resident’s son was hit by the other student with a stick in the nose, causing mild bleeding.
  • The resident did not want to press charges.
  • Investigation Status: Closed – Exceptional

09/22/2023 Arrow Liberation Academy

  • A child student reported, through her parent, that a substitute teacher hit her face because she got out of her seat.
  • A small injury was seen by the officer, and photos were taken.
  • The teacher was not on location for interviewing.
  • Investigation Status: Open

Burglary of Motor Vehicle (2) (Up 2 from previous month) (2 commercial – 0 residential)

09/01/2023 Aldi

  • Unknown persons opened the sliding door of a van parked in Aldi’s lot and removed numerous cartons of cigarettes. The victim states she was only in Aldi for approximately 5 minutes.
  • There were no prints or other evidence retrieved, and no surveillance cameras in area.
  • The victim states she just purchased the cigarettes from Costco in Stafford.
  • Costco surveillance video showed a vehicle possibly followed her out of the lot, which did capture the LP.
  • Value of Property: Approximately $2,300

09/08/2023 Sam’s

  • The victim was loading purchases into her vehicle and had her purse on the front passenger seat.
  • The victim later found that her purse was missing.
  • There were no witnesses, video or any evidence.
  • Value of property: $900

08/27/2023 Dorrance Ln.

  • Persons unknown entered a residence (Air BnB) and removed a TV and several personal items. The TV’s serial number is unknown.
  • There were no signs of forced entry. There was a surveillance system, but it was inoperable.  A check of the area found no other residences with video that may be of use.
  • Property Value: $640
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

08/22/2023 Scottsdale Dr.

  • Persons unknown wrote words in the freshly poured cement.
  • Writing: “Your Mom” and “Y r u Gay”
  • Property Repair Cost: $795
  • No clues, witnesses, video, or evidence
  • Investigation Status: Suspended

08/26/2023 Former Avenida Steakhouse

  • A Security Guard at nearby business witnessed two individuals using rocks to try and break into the Steakhouse through a glass door, causing damage.
  • The Security Guard approached them, and they fled on foot.
  • Patrol searched the area and found both at Walmart. 1 Adult, 1 Juvenile.
  • Both subjects admitted to being at the steakhouse, but not causing damage.
  • Both subjects were arrested and transported to the appropriate facilities.
  • Property Damage estimate: $2,500

09/18/2023 Meadows Place Community Center

  • Unknown persons shattered the back patio window by what appears to be a BB.
  • There was no evidence at the scene, and this had not been reported by those who rented the facility over the weekend.
  • Property value: $1,200

09/25/2023 McGrath Park

  • Public Works found that the two guard rails on the floating dock where damaged within the past 3 days.
  • Both were found to be leading out, with the bolts loose.
  • Property Repair Estimate: $3,000

08/25/2023 S. Kirkwood Rd.

  • MPPD CID received a Law Enforcement Notification System (LENS) report from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
  • The report was regarding the possible exploitation of an elderly MP resident.
  • It was found a fraudulent account was opened at a bank in the residents made, with several transactions being made.
  • The bank was notified, and the resident has suffered no loss.
  • Investigation Status: Open

08/31/2023 Dorrance Ln.

  • Resident came in to MPPD Lobby
  • Resident stated she was notified by her bank of charges on her Master Card that seemed improper.
  • Resident verified she did not make the charges, and she still had the card in her possession.
  • Amount of charges: Approximately $5,000 over a 9-day period.
  • Investigation Status: Open

09/13/2023  Meadowtrail Ln.

  • Resident states unknown persons opened a line of credit in her name without her consent.
  • Resident contacted the credit approver, Reliant Credit, who requested a police report.
  • Value: $776

  • A male removed a case of beer without paying.
  • Video captured the suspect vehicle.

  • Two males removed 5 cases of beer without paying.
  • Video surveillance was not retrievable at the time of the report, and there is no vehicle information.
  • Value of property: $124.95

09/16/2023 CVS

  • An unknown male entered the store and placed numerous cosmetic items in a bag he brought with him and left without paying.
  • The suspect left on a bicycle, and the employees say it is not the first time he has done this.
  • Value of property: $1,187.83

08/27/2023 *DWI / Evading SW Freeway

  • Officer witnessed a vehicle stopped in traffic, with two occupants in a disturbance.
  • As the vehicle began to leave, a traffic stop was initiated.
  • The vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued into Houston.
  • The vehicle came to a stop in a parking lot on Bissonnet St., where a Felony Stop was conducted.
  • The driver was found to be intoxicated, was arrested, and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail. During the entire contact, the driver was uncooperative.

08/29/2023 *Criminal Trespass (x2) Meadows Place City Pool

  • A male and female were found asleep inside the gated area of the pool.
  • The subjects admitted they climbed over the fence overnight. Video surveillance captured this, as well as them conducting sexual activity.
  • The subjects were arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

09/01/2023 *Warrant (other jurisdiction) W. Airport Blvd.

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for an LP violation.
  • The driver was found to have a Felony Warrant for Theft, which was confirmed.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

09/04/2023 *Violate Protective Order Dorrance Ln.

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for an license plate violation.
  • Officer recognized the people in the vehicle and knew there was a Protective Order involved.
  • Fort Bend Co. was able to verify that the Driver was not supposed to be in contact with the passenger.
  • The Driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. jail.

09/06/2023 *Fail to ID – Fugitive W. Airport Blvd.

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation.
  • The Driver had no identification, and verbally identified himself incorrectly several times.
  • His identity was eventually found, and he had a warrant for an Immigration Violation.
  • The warrant was confirmed, and the Driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

09/09/2023 *Driving While License Invalid SW Freeway

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a headlight violation.
  • The Driver’s DL was found to be invalid.
  • The Driver was uncooperative, and passively resisted being detained.
  • The Driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail 

09/11/2023 *Warrant (other jurisdiction) W. Bellfort Blvd.

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a headlight violation.
  • The Driver was found to have a warrant out of Harris County for Interference with Duties.
  • The warrant was confirmed, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

09/18/2023 *Possession of Controlled Substance S. Kirkwood Rd.

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a headlight violation.
  • Due to an odor of Marijuana, a PC search was conducted.
  • 2 vape devices were found, that tested positive for THC.
  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

09/19/2023 *Warrant (other jurisdiction) SW Freeway

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for an license plate violation.
  • The driver was found to have a warrant out of Fort Bend County for Possession of Marijuana.
  • The warrant was confirmed, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

09/20/2023 Walgreens

  • Officer checked by with other units on a reported theft in progress.
  • The main suspects were stopped by another unit elsewhere, and one related person was on location.
  • The subject on location was found to have a warrant out of for Waller County for FTA.
  • The warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
