Emergency notification system test graphic announcing a community wide test on Friday, October 9 at approximately 10 a.m. The graphic explains that notifications may be received by text, phone call, email, and the Meadows Place mobile app, and provides information for residents previously registered with CodeRED or the new system.

This is only a test!

On Friday, Oct. 9 at approximately 10 AM, the City of Meadows Place will conduct a community-wide test of our new emergency notification system.

We previously changed emergency notification providers and no longer use the CodeRED system. However, if you already had a CodeRED account on or before August 10, 2026, your information was transferred to the new system.

If you had previously registered with CodeRED or have already registered in the new system, you can expect to receive the test through the contact methods associated with your account:

📱 Text message
☎️ Phone call
📧 Email
🔔 Meadows Place app notification, if you have the app

What will the message say?

TEST MESSAGE: This is a test of the Meadows Place emergency notification system. There is no emergency and no action is needed. We are testing the system to make sure we can reach you when it matters most.

Not signed up? Now is a great time! You can register for emergency notifications here: https://www.meadowsplacetx.gov/page/emergency-alerts

One important change from CodeRED: If you provide a phone number, you will receive both a phone call and a text message when an emergency notification is issued. If you provide an email address, you will also receive the notification by email.

After the test, if you expected to receive a notification but didn't, let us know so we can help make sure you're connected. Email us at: communications@meadowsplacetx.gov

Again, this is only a test. No action is needed when you receive Friday’s test notification.
