Currently there are two areas being considered for development in Meadows Place. The first is 11919 West Airport, which is the location of the Oasis Lifestyles assisted living facility. The proposed project by Fairfield Corporation is a 14 acre campus geared towards senior living and medical care. Plans call for building a new three-story, 250 bed assisted living facility, along with two nine story professional buildings, two 600-car parking garages, and a hospital all surrounding a green space and pond area.
The second development that is underway is being done by Ayrshire Corporation at the northwest corner of Kirkwood and West Airport. A strip center anchored by a Wells Fargo branch office and two pad sites are proposed for this location.
Both projects have already passed through public hearings, Planning and Zoning and Council's approval. Both developers have agreed to the restrictions placed on these planned development units, and on August 23rd, City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission held a joint meeting to approve plat changes for both projects. Firm construction dates have not yet been set.
